The Győr Regional Organisation of the Hungarian Hydrological Society has launched an exciting competition aimed at boosting water awareness among young students. The initiative encourages participants to explore local water values, conservation efforts, and wetland ecosystems, all while developing teamwork, digital skills, and environmental responsibility.  

The competition is open to primary school (grades 5-8), secondary school (grades 9-13), and university/college students (aged 18-24) across Győr-Moson-Sopron, Vas, Veszprém, and Komárom-Esztergom regions. Participants, under the guidance of an adult mentor, will visit key water sites, document their findings, and present their insights using digital tools.  

Beyond being a fun and educational experience, the competition aims to inspire a new generation of water-conscious citizens while also introducing potential career paths in environmental and hydrological sciences.  

Students with an active status in any eligible institution are encouraged to gather a team, explore, and take action for water conservation!
